Cuizhu Kindergarten, located in Dangtu County, Ma’anshan City, Anhui Province, is a renowned private kindergarten with a history of over three decades. Established in 1996 by Ms. Tang Qin, it was initially named Ertiao Lane Kindergarten before moving to its current campus in Cuizhu Community in 2002 and adopting its present name. The school’s Yingdi Campus, completed in 2014, spans 5,000 square meters along the picturesque Guxi River and Lingyun Mountain, offering a natural and culturally rich environment.
Educational Philosophy and Approach
Cuizhu Kindergarten combines traditional Chinese values with modern international concepts. Under the leadership of Principal Sun Jian, a returnee from the UK, it emphasizes “Rooted in Tradition, Inspired by Nature.” The curriculum integrates bilingual immersion (developing the Chinese Nursery Rhyme Bilingual Program) and forest education, transforming the outdoor space into a “Four Seasons Exploration Camp” where children engage in hands-on learning through nature-based activities. A unique feature is the “Little Bamboo Courtyard” mixed-age play area, designed to foster social skills, creativity, and physical development across five zones: life experience, art, sports, wilderness, and cognitive exploration. The kindergarten also promotes moral education through “Red Culture” activities, such as singing revolutionary songs and storytelling, to instill patriotic values in young children.
Facilities and Programs
The campus boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including a large indoor heated swimming pool, multimedia classrooms, a dance studio, an art workshop, and a 4,000-square-meter outdoor playground with a sandpit, planting areas, and a natural-themed play structure. The “1+1” childcare model provides convenient and affordable services for working families, with embedded nursery classes on the ground floor accessible to the community. Additionally, the kindergarten offers extended services like weekend free access to outdoor facilities for migrant children, earning it the title of “Dangtu County Women and Children Activity Base” in 2015.
