About Future School of Kalgan
Future School of Kalgan (formerly Zhangjiakou Beijing No.101 Experimental School) is a modern, fully-equipped school – a key project introduced by the Zhangjiakou municipal government. Named “Future”, it stands for the school’s commitment to its development goals and vision, and its confidence in embracing and shaping the future.
Based in Zhangjiakou, the Winter Olympic City, the school covers 130 mu (about 8.7 hectares) with a floor area of 75,793㎡, capable of accommodating over 3,450 students. The campus boasts eco-friendly, grand buildings with a unique style and fresh scenery. Surrounded by mountains and rivers, it’s just 2km from Future City Central Ecological Park, letting students soak up Winter Olympic culture and ice-sports passion, plus the green benefits of the “Two Major Zones” initiative. Transportation is a breeze: Zhangjiakou High-speed Railway Station is 600m away, Ningyuan Airport (a short drive) flies directly to 13 cities like Shanghai and Shenzhen, and Beijing is only 50 minutes away by high-speed rail – fully part of the “Capital 1-hour Living Circle”.
Guided by the STEAM+SEL education concept, the school upholds the principles of “exploring to learn, cultivating virtue and knowledge, and uniting theory with practice”, with the motto “Strive for goodness, pursue truth and beauty”. It focuses on developing students’ “seven core competencies” and building a campus culture of scholarship, confidence, cooperation and mutual respect.
