About Shanghai SMIC Private School
Shanghai SMIC Private School (Chinese: 上海市民办中芯学校) is a Pre-kindergarten-Grade 12 school established in July of 2001 by the Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC Shanghai).
Initially, the purpose of the school was to provide quality education for the children of the employees of SMIC, so the registered student body was limited to the children of company employees.
In 2004, the school opened its doors to non-SMIC employee children, making its high-quality educational resources available to the society at large and receiving a warm welcome and positive appraisal from the wider community.
Currently, the school has over 3000 students (including kindergarten students) and over 600 staff members. Read More.
