Utahloy International School Guangzhou (UISG) seeks an experienced International Baccalaureate (IB)
educator to provide inspirational leadership in the role of MYP Coordinator, beginning August 2023.
An IB World School with 3 authorized IB programmes – the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the
Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP) – UISG provides a premium
education to children from Kindergarten to Year 12. Located in suburban Baiyun District, UISG is a
day school which caters to the expatriate community and locals holding foreign passports. The school
is known for its vibrant international community and its caring and friendly approach.
With students and staff from over 50 countries, UISG is a global learning community, ideally suited to
the mission and objectives of the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO). In inclusive school,
UISG supports and challenges students of varied educational needs. A mother tongue language
programme enables students to continue studying in their mother tongue through graduation.
Students thrive in an environment in which they maintain their cultural identity, and learn about the
host country, China. High expectations, quality teaching and strong family support propel UISG
students to success. Our graduates attend selective post-secondary institutions around the world,
most frequently in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, UK, and USA.
The learning environment is modern, comfortable, and suitably equipped with technology to support
teaching and learning. Facilities include a Multi-Function Hall (with a large double gymnasium),
swimming pool, 3 all-weather football pitches, tennis court, large outdoor playgrounds for each
division, library, innovation and design labs, science laboratories, and performing arts rooms for
visual arts, drama, and music. Located on the edge of beautiful Golden Lake and nestled within
forested hillsides, the school possesses an enviable setting. And while the campus is set in a serene
suburban environment, it is also close to the city, only a 20-minute ride to the centre of Guangzhou
by bus or car.
UISG is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), the Western Association of Schools
and Colleges (WASC), and IBO, which provide global recognition to the school and its graduates. The
school is also a member of the Association of Chinese and Mongolian International Schools (ACAMIS)
and the East Asia Regional Council of Overseas Schools (EARCOS).
