OBJECTIVES
Our Prep School is looking for an experienced candidate to fill the position of Dual
Language Bilingual Teacher. We are looking for candidates who is innovative, creative,
and problem solver, who understand collaboration and the importance of meaningful
relationships to strive for excellence in both their own professional development and for
first class provision for all of our children. Successful candidates will have strong

Bachelor degree or above
Teaching Certificate
MAJOR
Major in Chinese, Math or Science
LANGUAGE
Native Chinese speaker and fluent in English
WORKING EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 2 years work experience in teaching Chinese language or Math in
a public school, bilingual schools or international school in the primary phases
Be able to develop curricula and compare the curricula of different countries
Be able to assess pupil interests, needs and developments
Open, proactive, creative, patient and caring
Global mindset and a deep understanding of Chinese culture
Proficiency in Microsoft office suite
Cross-cultural work experience is preferred
Be familiar with the recent development of Primary Mathematics/Chinese
teaching theory and practiceTEACHING AND LEARNING
Assume shared responsibility for the overall care and wellbeing of a class of
students, doing so alongside a foreign class teacher.
Implement effective co-teaching strategies to draw on the expertise of both class
teachers and enabling effective differentiation of instruction.
Model and guide all pupils in realising the Wellington vision statement, values, and
identity.
Deliver creative, engaging, and well-planned lessonsFlexibly group pupils within a
class to provide more tailored support
Establish and reinforce routines, including through positive reinforcement, to create
an effective learning environment.
Complete teaching plans on time and to a high standard; setting goals that challenge
and stretch pupils; work closely with colleagues to develop an understanding of
likely misconceptions.
Participate actively in collaborative meetings; proactively extend this collaboration
beyond identified meeting times.
Regularly assess the pupils’ work following the school marking and feedback policy,
by means of formative and summative assessment.
Complete planning and assessment tasks as directed by the head of dual language,
the year head and the heads of phase.
Communicate with the foreign class teacher, head of dual Language, the heads of
years and the heads of phase regarding any student whose progress or behaviour
gives cause for concern.
Monitor and evaluate constantly the effectiveness of teaching, maintaining good
standards of practice and ensuring progression.
