Early Childhood/Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Classroom teacher works closely with another teacher(s) in the classroom, together preparing, planning and sharing responsibilities, within their co-teaching team and within their grade level teaching team, supervised and supported by the Director of International Curriculum Development, to meet daily requirements as necessary.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare an inviting and developmentally appropriate classroom environment each day that will support the implementation of the 3e curriculum
• Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate class that fits the 3e philosophy, curriculum & assessment framework, themes and academic calendar, in accordance with 3e curriculum document and appropriate departmental handbooks
• Provide creative ideas and collaborate with other members of the teaching team to extend individual student inquiries
• Facilitate team planning of units by sharing
• Assist in monitoring, recording, and assessing student progress and development by utilizing the pedagogy of listening
• Curate student work and ensure displays are presented in a meaningful manner
• Report on student progress to reflect authentic learning and encourage success
• Communicate necessary information regularly and effectively to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs
• Positive relationships with parents to support the personal growth, progress and success of individual students
• Keep up to date with developments and research in subject areas, pedagogy and teaching resources
• Adapt instructional plans and activities based on analysis of student data and research
• Supervise students to ensure their safety and well-being
• Perform any other duties as assigned to ensure a caring and safe learning environment and the delivery of the curriculum

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

·     Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education or related field

·     High level of English proficiency required

·     3 years of relevant experiences or above

·     Excellent communication skills

·     Experience working with a variety of cultures and family dynamics

·     Responsible, reliable, well-organized, flexible, team player

Remark: Due to the visa requirements of the local government, we can only recruit candidates from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and South Africa.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

You will have a gross salary of approximately 365,000 RMB / $51,000 (current exchange rate of $1 = 7.15 RMB). In addition, with the savings plan/completion of contract bonus (14,000 RMB $2,350), housing stipend (108,000 RMB / $15,104), flight (13,000/$1,831), relocation (10,000 RMB/$1,400) as well as excellent medical coverage (no deductible and no co-pay), the total package equals approximately 510,000 RMB/$71,000 which will provide you with a very comfortable lifestyle in Beijing plus funds for traveling and savings.
