We are seeking a skilled and passionate ESL (English as a Second Language) Teacher to join our educational institution. As an ESL Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality language instruction to students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Your primary responsibility will be to create a supportive and engaging learning environment that fosters language acquisition and proficiency.


  • Curriculum Development: Develop and implement effective lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to meet the needs and proficiency levels of ESL students.
  • Classroom Instruction: Deliver engaging and interactive ESL lessons, employing a variety of teaching techniques and resources to promote language acquisition, vocabulary development, grammar, listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
  • Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Design and administer assessments to evaluate students’ language proficiency and track their progress over time. Provide constructive feedback to students to facilitate their language development.
  • Individualized Instruction: Identify individual learning needs and adapt teaching strategies to cater to students with varying levels of English language proficiency and learning styles.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Foster an inclusive and culturally sensitive classroom environment that respects and celebrates diversity. Encourage cross-cultural interaction and promote global awareness among students.
  • Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive and well-organized classroom environment conducive to effective learning. Manage student behavior, ensuring discipline and respect are maintained at all times.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to support student learning and address any concerns or challenges that may arise.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with current trends and research in ESL teaching methodologies, attend professional development workshops, and engage in continuous learning to enhance teaching skills.


  • ESL Certification: Possess a recognized ESL teaching certification such as TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), TESOL, CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults), or equivalent.
  • Experience: Prior experience in teaching ESL to students of various ages and proficiency levels is desirable. Experience working with multicultural and diverse student populations is an asset.
  • Language Proficiency: Native level fluency in English.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with students, colleagues, and parents from diverse backgrounds. Patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity are essential.
  • Instructional Skills: Demonstrated ability to create and deliver engaging and interactive lessons using a variety of instructional techniques, resources, and technology.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to adjust teaching strategies and approaches based on students’ individual needs and learning styles.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively plan lessons, manage classroom activities, and assess student progress.
  • Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using technology and digital tools for instructional purposes, including virtual teaching platforms, multimedia resources, and online assessment tools.
