Head of Boarding – Shanghai

Founded in September 2016, NACIS Shanghai is a day and boarding school that offers students a creative, challenging and rewarding learning experience. Students aged 6 to 18 years old are welcomed into our progressive and internationally minded school community. We offer a distinctive bilingual, blended learning programmer leading to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme as well as A-level Programme. Located in the Minhang District of Shanghai, the school has world class facilities that complement our innovative approach. Our staff are from 10 different countries with significant numbers of colleagues from China, the UK, Ireland and North America.

NACIS is looking for a Head of Boarding to develop and support the weekly boarding offering at NACIS by providing programs, services and opportunities to promote student personal and artistic development through creating a holistic community that is conducive to student learning and individual development.
Role Specific 具体工作职责
•    Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the boarding and managing the after-school life of the boarding

•    To be familiar with and implement and improve all boarding policies, guidelines, and handbooks.

•    Line manage scheduling of the dorm mentors and ayi
直线管理宿舍导师和生活阿姨的安排
•    Communicate residential issues to the administrative team
与行政团队沟通居住问题
•    Supporting the school in the oversight and development of  evening academic support
支持学校监督和发展晚间学术支持
•    Overseeing parent communication and satisfaction
监督家长的沟通和满意度
•    Managing student welfare including discipline
管理学生福利,包括纪律
•    Assist with monitoring the academics of students
协助监控学生的学术状况
•    Encourage conflict resolution through mediation meetings and counsel

•    Assist in enhancing the international, educational and social experiences of boarding students

•    Conduct student dorm meetings and groups.

•    To be responsible to the Head of Secondary National for the management of staff within the dorm team.
向中学部中方校长汇报并对宿舍团队员工进行日常管理。
•    To provide induction for new staff appointed to the dorm team.
为新入宿舍的员工提供入职指导及培训。
•    To attend a daily meeting to discuss routine and non-routine items.
参加日常会议,讨论日常事务和非日常事务。
•    Meet weekly with the Head of Secondary National to discuss boarding progress and developments, concerns, operations, professional development etc.
每周与中学部中方校长定期开会,讨论寄宿的进展和发展,关注的问题,运营,专业发展等。
•    To ensure that boarding duties are covered adequately at all times.
确保宿舍工作在任何时候都得到充分的履行。
•    To be in residence 24 hours before and after the commencement and termination of the school term. Holiday entitlement, apart from above, will be as per the published school holidays.“

•    To participate in any arrangements for the Performance Management of his/ her performance and that of other boarding staff.

•    To attend school activities as directed by the Head of Secondary National. This may include open days, school productions, school discos, sports fixtures, camps, trips and visits, which may take place outside of the normal working day including at weekends. A School calendar of such events is produced prior to the start of the school year, but is subject to revision with reasonable notice.

•    To take additional responsibilities as required by the Head of Secondary National in order to ensure the smooth and effective running of the school.

•    Assist with evening activities, schedules and weekend collection updates
