About Role

Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong seeks a well-qualified, caring, and inspiring Head of Learning Support for our Senior School (Years 7 to 13).  This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a strong and forward-looking team in one of Asia’s most established and reputable international schools.

Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong is a high-performing, market-leading international school in one of the most vibrant cities in the world. We were the first of the Dulwich College International family of schools opening our doors in 2003. Since then we have grown to become the school of choice in the city.

Post-holder Qualifications, Experience

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
  1. Have a relevant qualification/certification in special education and at least 2 years of relevant experience working within a secondary school setting 
  2. Have relevant experience in the administration, interpretation and reporting on psychoeducational assessments
  3. Have deep knowledge of developing individual education/learning plans to include: creating individual goals, measurement, evaluation, providing support and dismissal 
  4. Be experienced in working with international students and families with a strong, working knowledge of the importance of culturally responsive practice
  5. Be experienced working interdepartmentally in the development, implementation and support of tiered systems and processes to include relevant assessment practices, documentation, data tracking and analysis 
  6. Have relevant and responsive knowledge of current practice to support co-teaching, parallel planning and flexible grouping within inclusive settings
  7. Be comfortable working with outside agencies and community members to support programming in additional support areas as needed to include occupational therapists, educational psychologists, mental health providers, and speech and language therapists
  8. Fulfil all pastoral, welfare, and supervisory duties effectively and willingly
  9. Role model a mindset of continuous development and improvement, to meet and exceed expectations
  10. Be committed to quality, attention to detail, and high standards
