We’re looking to recruit an International Secondary Computer Science Teacher to join our NAS Foshan, a Nord Anglia Education school.

Students will gain a solid foundation of Chinese culture, whilst equipping them with the knowledge and skills they will need to be successful in an increasingly globalised world.

THE ROLE

• Supporting the development of international-mindedness and all NAS Foshan learner attributes within the curriculum.
• Planning and reviewing the curriculum meeting the IPC, IMYC and IBDP standards.
• Teaching the curriculum meeting the IPC, IMYC and IBDP standards.
• Working as a team planning lessons, directing the way forward.
• Developing and maintaining clear lines of communication with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.
• Communicating with parents via Face-to-Face meetings and Parent Teacher Meetings.
• Collaboratively developing and following a Grade Level Essential Agreement.
• Participating in Professional Development offered by the school

ABOUT YOU

You will be able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment, you will possess a university degree, a recognised teaching qualification, and teaching experience. Committed and creative, you will be reflective on your own teaching and student outcomes, seeking out and implementing new ideas and innovative methods to raise the school’s level of achievement.

Keen to collaborate and share your specialist expertise, you will be a fitting ambassador for the school. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with parents and students. You will also be able to meet visa-related restrictions for China, including bachelor’s degree, teaching Certificate in relevant subject and school level, three or more years international education experience, proficient English Language skills.

OUR GLOBAL ACADEMIC RESULTS

The 2021-2022 school year was one of the strongest ever in terms of Nord Anglia Education’s academic results. For the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, our students achieved a 35.1 global point average, far exceeding the global average of 31.9. A third of students eared a perfect score of 45. In the A-levels, our students achieved 60.5% of grades at A*-A, along with 77.3% at A*-B.The group’s latest IGCSE student cohort, consisting of 2,351 students across 41 Nord Anglia schools, achieving an outstanding set of results, with 52.8% of grades at 9 – 7 for the year and 90.8% at 9 – 4.
