Joy Salary and benefits

Our salary and benefits package is unequalled in Harbin. When combined with the Harbin’s low living costs, our teachers’ standard of living and ability to save money is excellent. 

We offer a highly competitive monthly salary plus a 16,000 RMB annual bonus (3000 RMB every 3 months, then 7000 RMB upon contract completion) AND accommodation in private furnished modern apartments in new buildings with all utilities (including high speed internet) paid. AND 3 long fuly paid holidays every year (42 days approx).

• Starting base salary of 10,000 RMB with no Chinese income tax per month.  Higher starting salaries for experienced teachers will be considered.

• 20 teaching hours and 4 office hours per week.

• 500 RMB monthly full attendance bonus.

• 500 RMB raise every 6 months up to 13,000 RMB.

• 16,000 RMB yearly contract bonus based on attendance and performance, with 3000 RMB paid out every three months and 7000 RMB paid on completion of contract.

• Free private modern apartment in a great central city locations.

• 5 working days each week with 2 days off. - 3 Joy holidays during the year: Spring Festival, Summer Vacation and October holiday.

• 42 days of holiday (approx.) paid in full at the end of the contract. These holidays provide excellent opportunities for travel, which most private schools do not offer.

Career Development

Our Senior Teacher Management Development Program is open to all our teachers meeting the required standards of performance. Senior teachers are trained to take on take on additionalresponsibilities such as; training, curriculum development and management. Senior teachers receive 1000 RMB more per month and are not required to work office hours. Senior teachers from our school have gone on to take up management positions in Joy branches throughout China. Additional training is provided in specialist teaching methods for VIP students, IELTS, TOEFL, TOEFL Jr. SAT, GRE exam preparation for selected teachers.

Training

Joy classes all follow a structured curriculum. All materials, books, teaching guides, props, posters, DVDs, etc. are provided at the schools. There is no need to search the Internet for class ideas or materials. Many of our classes use interactive smartboards, with pre-designed lesson content, and fun classroom activities already built in, making lesson planning much less of a chore. You will receive extensive training from one of our Canadian, American or British trainers, who have years of teaching and training experience. You will have opportunities to observe other teachers’ classes, have assistance preparing your lessons, and practice teaching, before you start your first classes. Your trainers and the rest of the western management team, will provide a high level of feedback, coaching, and on-going support to enable you to excel.
