English Instructors

The School of Foreign Languages Liaoning Normal University is recruiting 2 English instructors to commence in September 2024.

Job Description:

1. Courses to teach: Teaching, Learning, and Leadership, Educational Psychology, Methods of Teaching English in Secondary School, Curriculum & Assessment.
2. Target: Undergraduate students majoring in English.
3. Workload: 12-14 teaching hours per week (45 minutes per hour).
4. Responsibilities: Deliver teaching plans to a high standard, and accept guidance, inspection, and evaluation from the employer.
5. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with the employer retaining the right to adjust work hours and holidays according to school regulations.
6. Remuneration and Benefits: Salary and accommodation benefits will be provided in accordance with school regulations.

Qualifications:

1. Educational Background: Applicants must hold a master’s degree or higher in the relevant subject, or a master’s degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate credits in the subject area. Relevant transcripts must be provided. (TESOL/TEFL certificate preferred)
2. Teaching Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with substantial teaching experience. The CV should detail teaching experience, including courses taught and teaching achievements. Applicants should have a minimum of two years of relevant teaching experience. (Two-year + teaching experience )
3. Professional Skills: Passion for education, responsibility, excellent communication skills, and a spirit of teamwork. Besides solid professional knowledge, candidates should have innovative thinking and research abilities, and actively participate in teaching
4. Nationality: Must be from an English-speaking country such as the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.
5. Age: Under 60 years old, gender is not restricted, must have a serious and responsible work attitude.
6. Other Requirements: Must meet the conditions for obtaining a work permit and work visa for China. Preference will be given to those currently residing in mainland China with a valid work residence permit.

Remuneration:

1. Monthly Salary: Negotiable
   
2. Accommodation: The university provides a free apartment, or a housing allowance of RMB 2,000 per month for off-campus housing.
3. Round-trip International Travel: Reimbursement for return international travel (home country city to Dalian, China) for those who complete one year of work.
4. Insurance: An accident and medical insurance policy.
5. Holiday Allowance: RMB 1,100 per semester.
