The PowerSchool Administrator is responsible for administering and managing PowerSchool
including development, integration and support. Continuous communication with system and
school leadership is critical to success in this position. This position will be based out of
Duties & Responsibilities
a. Perform all core application software updates for PowerSchool
b. Set up and maintain user access levels, including admin access, system settings, PowerTeacher Pro
(PTP) settings and parent/student access.
c. Take a lead role in the testing and implementation of newly released PowerSchool features.
d.Work with other system leaders to monitor workflow and recommend improvements.
e. Plans and executes basic and advanced database functions as required.
f. Work with other system leaders to create custom fields and processes.
g. Maintain appropriate system documentation on procedures and configurations.
h.Create custom reports as needed
i. Support the sharing of data from PowerSchool with other system software applications.
j. Act as the primary liaison with PowerSchool.
k. Provide support to users within MLES.
l. Support school administrator’s with collection and analysis of data.
m. Provide support to school administrators in all aspects of scheduling using PowerScheduler
n.Work cooperatively with administrators, supervisors, staff, and parents/guardians to perform job
responsibilities as outlined.
o.Create training materials as needed.
p. Performs various other duties as assigned
a. At least 3-4 years of PowerSchool experience, including previous experience
b. Strong knowledge of PowerSchool database schema/tables/fields.
d. Experienced with cleaning large data sets in excel, as well as importing/exporting to PowerSchool
using quick import/export and data import/export manager
e. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution.
