High School ESL Teacher – Beijing

We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for our students, fostering their English language skills, and preparing them for future success.

Key Responsibilities

As an English Teacher, you will:

• Develop and implement comprehensive teaching plans.
• Utilize diverse activities and instructional methods to motivate and engage students.
• Regularly assess student performance and progress to ensure skill mastery.
• Promote positive interactions, cooperation, and sharing among students.
• Collaborate effectively with administration staff.
• Adhere to all teaching standards and safety regulations.
• Teach approximately 18-20 classes (no more than 24 hours) per week, with a maximum class size of 25 students.
• Participate in team meetings, English Club activities, and curriculum development, including preparing students for TOEFL or IELTS exams.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a two-hour lunch break. You’ll need to be present at school during working hours. We have two main arrival times each year: February and August.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Literature, Social Science, or Education.
• A recognized teaching qualification (TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA).
• Two or more years of relevant teaching experience; experience with TOEFL or IELTS preparation is preferred.
• Native English speaker status (due to visa requirements).
• A strong dedication to education, a sense of responsibility, excellent teamwork skills, and the ability to solve problems and learn quickly.
• Respect for Chinese culture and adherence to Chinese laws and policies.
