Candidate Overview:
A teacher of Science from Prep 4 to Senior 9 and IGCSE  Biology, Chemistry or Physics. A Head of Subject responsibility point will be available for the right candidate who will help us develop our teaching of science in this growing 3-18 bilingual school. Bromsgrove School Mission Hills requires for August 2022.

Qualifications:
1. University degree (BA/B.Sc) or equivalent;
2. Teacher Qualifications (B.Ed/M.Ed/PGCE/QTS) or equivalent;
3. Have at least 2-year  relevant  teaching experiences;
4. English speaker;
5. Holders of a valid Chinese Work Permit and Residence Permit are preferred.

Professional Knowledge and Understanding:
1. To create outstanding learning environments;
2. To build strong routines for young children to enhance their sense of well-being and belonging;
3. To organise and participating in events in order to build community, celebrate success and showcase learning to parents;
4. To lead the teaching of Science in Prep Senior and Senior School;
5. To lead the collaborative construction of appropriate schemes of work and programmes of study based on an integration of Cambridge Primary, Lower Secondary, IGCSE and A level with the Local Authority Curriculum;
6. To ensure Science teaching is appropriately resources in terms of text books, electronic resources, internet based teaching and learning resource platforms, online science simulations as well as practical science equipment;
7. To lead the collaborative construction of an appropriate assessment scheme which prepares students for both local authority assessments and assessments which will measure pupil progress along the Cambridge Primary, Lower Secondary, IGCSE and A level programmes;
8. To promote student leadership in the area of STEAM and Science Olympiads;
9. To timetable science in such a way as to make the most of the science teams’ talents;
10. To coach, train and appraise members of the science team together with members of SLT.
