About Role
- Support or lead classes as determined by the Director of Creative Arts.
- Support the overall development of Music throughout the school.
- Plan and teach Music to children across EYFS, KS1, KS2 as instructed by the Director of Creative Arts.
- Facilitate the learning of individual children or small groups, guided by the Director of Creative Arts.
- Participate in planning and preparation for learning inside and outside the Music classroom.
- Plan and deliver PIP (Primary Instrumental Program) lessons across the Primary school as specified by the Director of Creative Arts.
- Support instrumental PIP teachers as specified by the Director of Creative Arts.
- Organize regular PIP showcases and class achievements.
- Lead musical ensembles as part of the extra-curricular provision e.g. Scratch Band, choir or similar as specified by the Director of Creative Arts.
- Complete departmental administration tasks as specified by the Director of Creative Arts relating to PIP, Curriculum, Extra-curricular and events.
- Plan and coordinate lunchtime recitals and other performance opportunities.
- Attend parents’ evenings and meetings as part of the Music team.
