JOB DESCRIPTION: LUC Summer Camp Teacher 2022 (July to August)
DEPARTMENT: LUC CAMP ACADEMY
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: SUMMER CAMP MANAGER
STATUS: NON-EXEMPT/ PART TIME
STUDENTS: Ages 3-6
CAMP THEME: Olympic PBL Themed Curriculum

POSITION PURPOSE:
· A summer camp teacher is responsible for leading classroom activities for children enrolled in LUC/FGA Summer Camp.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Participate fully in four weeks long camp classes.
· Manage class resources.
· Report any and all accidents/incidents to the Camp Academy Staff.
· Maintain a classroom climate which nurtures and supports a learning environment.
· Ensure learners’ safety during class activities.
· Monitor and assist with snack breaks.
· Monitor and assist with lunch.
· Attend program orientation meeting and 1 post camp meeting.
· Follow Pre-made lesson plans according to the curriculum
· Assess the students work and write feedback about the students regularly
· Fill out and return weekly Summer Camp Evaluations.
· Report to the LUC Camp Manager.

SCHEDULE:
· Teachers are expected to facilitate their week long class. Teachers are expected to begin at 8:00am to prepare for their day and end their day at 4:00pm with cleanup.
· Camp Schedule from beginning of July to end of August
· Working time: 5 days/week Minimum 2 weeks

QUALIFICATIONS:
· Candidate must have two or more year’s education experience working with either kindergarten or primary school children.
· Candidate is expected to be professional at all times.
· Candidate must support and practice imaginative, engaging and learner-centered education and be able to work individually and collaboratively in team environment.
· Patient, active and love students and have a passion for teaching
· Native English speakers or native like English speakers with valid visa.
· Prefer those who live in or not too far from Shanghai
· Experienced EYFS teacher is a plus
