Position: Teaching Fellow, Secondary Division

Location: Shenzhen, China

Start Date: August 2022

WHAT YOU’LL DO

· Develop and support students with individualized learning plans

· Assist teachers with academic activities both inside and outside the classroom

· Help develop individualized learning plans for students

· Support individual students’ maturation and development, targeting support to address individual needs

· Step in and back up any teaching activities when needed

· Deeply connect with students, colleagues and parents to uphold a culture of welcome, safety and respect

· Invoke a robust learning atmosphere that leads students to value being at school and feel part of a rigorous and joyful learning community

· Inspire trust and confidence among parents and families

· Participate actively in ongoing, intensive professional learning

WHAT YOU BRING

· Student teaching or equivalent experience with students from grades 6-9

· Profound commitment to ensuring and nurturing students’ wellbeing

· Highly effective collaborator, eager to listen deeply, contribute to a team and achieve goals together

· Enthusiastically seek opportunities to learn, to develop the craft of teaching and to contribute to an innovative school environment

· Very resourceful and adaptive, eager to embrace constant change, growth and learning

· Bachelor’s degree; graduate degree in education or related field is ideal

· Native Chinese speaker with professional fluency in English
