What We’re Looking ForAs the Director of Admissions, you are responsible for creating and executing the overall admissions process that attracts and engages families seeking a high level, academic education for their students. Your love for education and the project management expertise you have developed will drive the goals and objectives of the team, in helping connect the school to families that are a strong fit for our acclaimed academic program.You embrace the opportunity to expand your skills and truly grow in an entrepreneurial environment. You will drive results through your tireless work ethic and consistently do what is needed, when it is needed, to enroll mission-appropriate students into our program.
You will collaborate with other Admissions members across the BASIS Curriculum network to identify opportunities for new approaches to connecting with families and depicting the advantages of a BASIS education.
Your Primary ResponsibilitiesPlan, develop and execute student recruitment strategies to drive application growth and achieve enrollment goalsIncrease awareness of our school admissions through outreach, which includes building relationships with local companies, organizations, associations, communities, and currently enrolled and new familiesParticipate in or lead family meetings, tours, entrance exam sessions and playdates, information sessions, open houses, and other admissions-related eventsCreate and direct a Student Ambassador and Shadow ProgramCoordinate enrollment events from concept to implementationLearn the advantages and know details of the BASIS Curriculum and Model to speak with prospective families knowledgeably and confidently about the school’s programCreate and manage a full-cycle sales capability in the admission function for the school including aspects of marketing, lead development and management, application commitments, and effective closing for enrollment.Ensure follow-up structures are effective with families who are in our admissions pipeline which will include phone calls and e-mails to those on our interest list to build relationships with new families and students, address questions, re-register them for admissions events or connect prospective families with faculty and staff depending on requestsWrite and send enrollment newsletters, blog posts, and other communications to our interest listApply expertise in managing and executing our CRMFulfill and meet specific lead and enrollment goals and benchmarks Administrative:Building and maintaining a calendar of events for the year and overseeing registration and preparation (logistics, setup, etc.) for admissions eventsCreating and maintaining outreach listUpdating presentations decksSetting-up and preparing admissions eventsEngaging faculty to collaborate and participate in admissions activities and events Data Analysis:Evaluating enrollment data to determine success of marketing efforts and provide analysis that can be translated into enrollment strategies Position QualificationsKey Competencies:Ability to excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and results-driven environment and adapt to changing priorities and needsBig picture thinker capable of proactively thinking of and implementing outside the box strategies for recruitment and outreachStrong understanding of admissions funnel and how to optimally engage at each stageDatabase maintenanceAbility to work independently with diverse constituents while maintaining high professional standardsExemplary organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to establish and manage multiple priorities, creatively problem-solve and to work under pressureEffective oral and written communication
Work Experience
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a writing or communications focused degree (such as marketing, communications, History, or English) or work experience in a related field such as sales, fundraising, marketing, media planning, advertising, strategic planningExperience within education or a true passion for working within PK-12 education, preferably in admissions in an international schoolMust be comfortable with nontraditional work hours; evenings and some weekends per month are a mustSocial media experienceUnderstanding of different international school curricula Microsoft Office (Word, PPT, Excel) skills are absolutely essentialStrong work-ethic, must be a self-starterMust be goal oriented and driven to accomplish defined objectivesCandidates must have the ability to obtain a visa to work in Thailand
