High School English Language Teacher

High School English Teacher Position

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject area
• Masters preferable
• TESOL/TEFL certificate or an official Teaching License preferred
• Experience teaching English Literature in an international school preferred
• Excellent knowledge of the content and pedagogy

Responsibilities ：

• Teach communication courses available for students from Grade 9-10. Instruct students how to improve their Oral English and Listening skills.
• Teach Comprehensive Reading (Critical Reading & Writing), Writing (Academic writing, Creative writing), AP literature for students from Grade 11-12.
• Teach Research-based seminar for students from Grade 12.
• Give lessons for 16 weeks every semester. Undertake 16 to 24 teaching hours per week (one teaching hour equals 45 minutes).
• Direct English contests, judge English competitions, and other English tutorial activities.

• Basic salary: it depends on the applicants’ workload.
• Allowances: Based on years of service

• Abide by the teachers’ rules and regulations, attend orientations, staff meetings, and participate in educational activities on time.
• Provide support to schools/principals as designated

• Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior
• Strive to implement by instruction and action the school’s philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives
• Strive to maintain and improve professional competence
• Performs other related duties as requested or assigned
