Job Description:	The purpose of these roles and responsibilities is to outline briefly the tasks required of a secondary teacher in the secondary school. As a school we are trying to achieve high standards by responding professionally, sensitively and caringly to the needs of all YCIS pupils. All teachers must demonstrate a standard of knowledge, understanding and skills of the curriculum taught in the school. All teachers must demonstrate an understanding of the wider curriculum and administration needs of the Foundation. Purpose of the Job: To teach pupils within the school and to carry out such other associated duties as are reasonably assigned by the Administration. Job description: A secondary school teacher teaches one or more curriculum subjects to pupils Year 7 to Year 13. Teachers may use creativity, humour and imagination to develop schemes of work and to plan lessons in order to foster a healthy culture of learning within the classroom and to generate the most effective interactions with pupils. Teachers encourage, monitor and record the progress of individual pupils, and devise and tailor resources accordingly, including technology. They must also keep up to date with developments in their subject area, new resources, methods and school wide initiatives. Teachers liaise and network with other professionals, parents and carers both informally and formally.
Job Requirements:	Qualification & Requirements: • B.Ed., or bachelor’s degree in related subjects plus a teaching certificate (PGCE & QTS & Country or State teaching licensure etc.) • Fluent in English, teaching will be conducted in English • Minimum 2 years of full-time teaching experience in a school setting, experience in both the A level, IGCSE Business & Economics syllabuses and the IBO SL and HL Economics and/ or Business Studies curriculum is a plus. • Computer literate in both the Windows and Macintosh operating systems and familiar with the uses of technology in the delivery of instruction to students. • A level, IGCSE, IB qualifications as a moderator and/or IBO training in Economics and Business is a plus
