High School English teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified English teacher to join our team, an international high school known for its commitment to academic excellence and holistic education. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English language and literature to high school students, fostering a love for reading and writing, and preparing students for international examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

– Teach English language and literature courses to high school students, A-level lessons, adhering to the curriculum guidelines.
– Develop lesson plans and materials that cater to a diverse range of student abilities and learning styles.
– Assess and track student progress, providing timely feedback and support.
– Prepare students for international English language proficiency tests such as A-level, TOEFL, IELTS, or SAT.
– Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
– Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in English language teaching.
– Contribute to the extracurricular life of the school, such as clubs, sports, or cultural events.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
– A recognized teaching certification (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, CELTA).
– At least 2 years of teaching experience at school, preferably in an international setting.
– Native or near-native English language proficiency.
– Familiarity with international curriculum standards (e.g., IB, A-Level, AP).
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
