French Teacher Needed in Guangzhou, China

The School of Foreign Languages at the South China University of Technology (SCUT) seeks to fill French language teacher position starting September 2024 for the coming academic year.

• French Language Teacher focusing on listening and speaking, and DELF test for Sino-French Elite Class students, who are undergraduates majoring in information engineering.

Assignments vary, but all require 16-20 classroom hours per week. Service duties (about two hours per week) may include One-on-one tutorials or administrative office work.

Minimum qualifications better include one year’s teaching experience, and MA degree or higher will be preferred. Candidates must be committed to teaching excellence, comfortable in classrooms where French is spoken as a foreign language, and sensitive to intercultural exchange.

Compensation is 11,500 CNY per month before tax for BA degree holders, 13,500 CNY per month before tax for MA degree holders. The university offers a furnished, on-campus apartment, reimburses foreign faculty for a proportion of airfare and visa fee, provides commercial health insurance. Candidates must obtain a work permit.
