1. Role Overview The MS English Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality English Language and Literature education within the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) framework. The role aims to inspire students to become critical thinkers, effective communicators, and lifelong learners.
2. Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning: Design and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the IB MYP curriculum and BCIS standards.

Assessment: Use diverse assessment strategies to monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and inform future instruction.

Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages student participation and respect.

Collaboration: Work closely with the English department and grade-level teams to develop curriculum, share resources, and support interdisciplinary learning.

3. Requirements & Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Certification: Valid teaching license/certification.

Experience: Proven experience teaching English at the middle school level, preferably within an IB MYP context.
