【Middle School】【Definite】MS/HS Spanish Teacher
1. Role Purpose The teacher will deliver Spanish language instruction across the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP), covering Grades 6 to 12. The position focuses on both academic excellence and the pastoral care of students.
2. Key Responsibilities

Instructional Excellence: Design immersive lessons that balance listening, speaking, reading, and writing, using the IB phase structure to differentiate for various proficiency levels.

Advisory Role: Act as a student advisor to monitor social-emotional well-being and implement the school’s “Keeping Safe” curriculum.

Assessment: Monitor and report on student progress while collaborating with the team to ensure consistent standards and moderation.

Curriculum & Tech: Contribute to the development of curriculum units and effectively integrate technology within a one-to-one laptop environment.

Community Engagement: Lead enrichment activities (ASAs/EAs), supervise MYP Personal Projects, and participate in parent-teacher-student conferences.
3. Candidate Requirements

Education: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Spanish, Education, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of two years of full-time teaching experience in the subject.

Certification: A valid professional teaching license or qualification.

Essential Skills: Fluency in English (written and spoken) and a solid understanding of the IB curriculum frameworks.
