Responsibilities:
- 1.Teaches skills in music understanding/appreciation, harmony, explorations in music and choral music to the pupils;
- 2.Plans/executes a balanced music program and organizes class time so that preparation, rehearsal and instruction can be accomplished within the allotted time;
- 3.Provides individual and small group instruction in order to adapt the music curriculum to the needs of each pupil;
- 4.Encourages students to develop individual musical skills to the greatest extent possible;
- 5.Utilizes repertoire of all types of music literature, including traditional and contemporary that are appropriate for the ages and skill levels of pupils;
- 6.Maintains care/responsibility for school-owned music, musical instruments and equipment to prevent loss or abuse;
- 7.Makes minor adjustments and requests repairs to instruments as required;
- 8.Evaluates each pupil’s musical growth, performance, and musical understanding. Assesses each individual’s contribution to the performance of the group;
- 9.Selects appropriate music, books and instructional aids to enhance learning and requisitions musical instruments and instructional supplies as necessary;
- 10.Cooperation with Building Principal and staff in providing musical programs for school assemblies, open house, parent meetings and seasonal programs;
- 11.Communicates with parents and school staff on individual student’s progress;
- 12.Attending and contributing to teaching meeting and training sessions;
- 13.Take part in the periodic student recruitment activities of the school by offering large group presentations and teaching demonstrations aimed specifically at demonstrating our methods and school entrance requirement;
- 14.Take part in the staff recruitment by offering professional analysis during the interview when school needs.
Position requirements:
- Bachelor degree or above in the subject;
- Aboard Teaching qualification;
- Two or more years relevant teaching experience;
- A demonstrated high level of commitment to teaching excellence;
- An understanding and commitment to being a team player.
- Be flexible and adaptable on teaching and working.
